Prepared Childbirth Education
featuring the Lamaze Six Healthy Birth Practices
Why should you take a childbirth education class? Because YouTube can’t teach you everything! At every class, we practice affirmations and comfort measures. We talk about the beauty of birth and even get a little art in. We have a fun time! But most importantly, you will connect with your baby. Oh, we “nerd out” too and learn all of the things; from how your body works to learning about decision making skills, unnecessary interventions, the Lamaze 6 Healthy Birth Practices, and breastfeeding.

Instructor
Jenny Thompson
Jenny has been teaching childbirth education for 10 years. As an ICEA Instructor, she taught a 6-week series at Gentle Choices Birth Center near the UL Campus. Then, she co-developed a Comfort Measures 3-hr course that she taught for several years. As a veteran doula, Lamaze Childbirth Education always resonated with her as she attended her mommas in birth. Lamaze is balanced, evidence based, and thorough! Jenny was also seeking more connection with families in a full series again rather than a boot-camp style class. After a year of further study, Jenny finally became a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) in November of 2020. She looks forward to a decades-long relationship with Lamaze and teaching hundreds more families!
